Top...errr...4?

Goodbye 2010 HELLO 2011!

Just when you thought you had 2009 out of your mind and could live that year down, you get to do a total restart! I am so not sure I can live down 2010.

So far I have managed to not embarrass myself on the blog yet, kudos to me!

Since the "cool" bloggers that I long to be are doing top 10+ blogs for the year end I decided to see if I could do one. Eh... Let's just say I will stick with a top 4 and a mini recap! {totally just added in that mini recap idea}

Great also for art supplies, gardening tools, and more!

These have been my favorite go to gift for new mommies and daddy's! I hate those strap covers with the giant heads on them!

My son still drags this around off and on.

Photobucket
Not my greatest tut but it is quick , cute , and functional. We still use it on really cold nights.

So this past year has been a crazy one! I have been struggling to start my business while taking care of a new baby.

In bug recaps... he went from a 10lb 1oz (20 inch length) load of joy...born 4 weeks early btw...

(minutes after he was born)
{a couple of days after birth when the face swelling went down some lol}

To this handsome little 11 month old dude...weighing in at 23lbs and 31 inches tall

I am going to be starting school this coming year so it should add a bit more excitement but I plan on making sure I have a good schedule in place so that I can get stuff done!

I am also making the standard new years resolution... Lose weight! I need to get healthy for me and my son...

What is your new years resolution?

Twas the baby's first Christmas...

Bug had his first Christmas! I of course was way more excited than he was, but that's okay next year will be amazing!

Christmas morning, Santa, Nana, Great grandparents, auntie Lexy and mommy spoiled him... Just a little.

Since his Nana, and Aunt's and Uncles live 8 hours away we did a video chat using Skype. Bug that it was awesome!

Here are some highlights.....

{stuff from his Nana stocking}

{talking to nana p.s. that is a toddler back pack I made him}

{taking his fish out of their fish bowl...another present I made him}

{opening his scout}

{giving scout love... I will be totally writing a review on this over the next couple of weeks}

{Riding his ride on from santa}

{opening his santa stocking... his two favorite spongebob and Reese's}

{He got a dirt devil vacuum since he likes to use mine from his walker... this child non stop vacuums everything now}

....

In bloggy news... Lots of new stuff happening around here soon. This month is going to be crazy getting ready for valentines, and of course Bug's first birthday! Looking forward to the new year.

Coming soon..& Not so Wordless Monday

There are going to be some changed coming around here over the next couple of weeks! I am so excited!

 I have mainly done my "business" as a hobby in the past... Now I am buckling down and I am going to stop playing business owner and BE a business owner. I even bought a marker board calendar! -gasp-

So stick around and check back often...

Think...Tutorials once every 2 weeks at least...new fun things....Lots more posts!

Extreme Makeover

Nope not the show!

My blog!

Bug Creator got a major makeover today!

I have been working on the header and new buttons for about 3 weeks now... But between chasing around a 7 month old, and sewing I have not had the time to finish until now!

I am pleasantly pleased with the makeover and I feel like it is a fresh start... And a good way to get ready for B2S/B2B over at Kludgy Mom with Gigi!

So check us out! Let me know what you think!

Link it up Saturday (no more sunday) #6

Wait what?! Link it up Saturday?! Yep!

Sunday is kind of a off day for most people. So I am going to take my off day!
From now on it is link it up Saturday!

Never fear the linky party will still be open until Wednesday!

So let's get on with it enough of my rambling.

I had to do two features this week because I think they are both really yummy.

Lolly Jane made these great cupcakes!
I tried these Friday and I am taking them with me Sunday to family day.

No joke this is an amazing idea and a big hit! I took the watermelon I made to tuesday night pool and it was gone... like instantly.

If you were featured grab a button from the left sidebar! If not.. Don't worry there is always this week!

I am sure you know the rules by now but if your just joining us ,or have short term memory loss like myself, let me refresh your memories!

Link up any DIY | Crafty project (or baked good) that you have done. Or it could be one that you admire that someone else has done.

This includes:
-Sewing
-wood & metal work
-decorating a room
-stenciling
-scrapbooking
-cupcakes
-good family meal
-etc... You get the picture!

What not to do or you will be deleted....
-link a store (including etsy stores)
-link to something profane (remember we are family oriented)
-link to anything NOT DIY or CRAFTY or BAKED!

I really don't like being mean. So please don't make me use my "mommy voice."

So grab a button and slap it on that post... (if you don't I can't feature you)

(<----------code is in the left side bar )

And above all...

Enjoy!

HairBows for a cause... Let's help this little boy get to a specialist!

Hello fellow bloggers and blog readers!
I want to tell you a story today about a great woman and her son!
This amazing woman & mother I am speaking of is named Kathryn. She is a wife and the mother of 3 short people, 1 boy and two girls.
This woman has been there for me [& several other friends we have made along the way] long distance since I got pregnant! We were actually pregnant together and met on a site called Babycenter.com

Now for the rough part....

Her son little E, the youngest, has been having quite a few problems with fevers. On average his fever runs around 105 + degrees. After many trips to the hospital and pediatric doctor in Alaska, where she lives, tons of tests and lots of worrying on the parents part... the doctors have decided that a specialist is the best thing for him.
[Something they simply cannot offer in Alaska.]

No one can tell this family what is wrong with their precious little boy.

So off to the specialist they are going! However money is a bit tight as is for most of us. A new little one is never easy to work into the budget so in order to help out with the expenses so that they don't stretch themselves too thin, Kathryn, has decided to start selling the hairbows that she previously only made for her daughters, friends, and family.

So far they are a big hit on facebook amongst friends and in true bloggy helpfulness we are branching her out to the blogging world.

She has a fan page where you can see pictures of these gorgeous creations and contact her about purchasing them as well.

[The photos on this page are just a few of her creations check the fan page for more ! She has at least 20 different styles and will customize an order!]

***The prices are as follows as of last update***

*Sequin Headbands (w/ bow)- $12 large bow, $10 medium bow*

*Crochet And Lace Headbands (w/ bow)- $10 large bow, $8 medium bow*

*Alligator Clips (w/ bow)- $ 8  for a set of 2 w/ small bow*

*Single Alligator Clips & Hairties- $5 with small bow*

If your tight on money as well and cannot purchase one of her creations another great way to help out would be to pass this page link on... Whether it be in a blog, or on your facebook to friends and family. Anything helps!

Let's help Little E and his family!

Update: Appointment date is set for August 11th in Portland. With a stay length of the 10th-26th. Little E was in the hospital yet again with a fever of 105 a couple of days ago.

Kicking it up a notch

I am sitting here cruising blogs.

Who's blogs?
Your blogs!

And I realize... I am lacking a gazillion SEVERAL elements of a successful blog!

-gasp-

Me the prepared blogger.. Is NOT so prepared!

So since my baby boy is sick and sleeping most of the day. I am going to take advantage of this and ignore my housework to kick this blog up a notch on the success scale.
So please bear with me while I get things situated and lovely.

Oh and did I mention that I am going to be doing a great badge swap

Yep down the road in a week or two I am going to do a badge swap.
And it will be put in its place over there ---->
Under the heading that will most likely say "Affiliates".

Enjoy.
